Palm Wax

Palm wax is different from paraffin and soy; not only the way it looks but also the way it burns. It also requires different techniques when making the candles to allow for the unique crystallization effects to form. Palm is thicker than many other waxes and will often leave some wax hangup around the edges. This is normal and often desired due to the aesthetic appeal of the wax. It is very important to test burn your palm wax candles to determine the ideal wick size for your wax and jars. RRD Wicks are recommended for the Glass Glow and Sparkle Light Container waxes, and either the Flat Braid or Square Braid Wicks for Feather or Tortoise Shell Pillars. See our Container Palm Wax and Pillar Palm Wax tutorials for more information.
