    Melting Point 130 deg. F.

    • Self-releasing from molds.
    • Usually requires a re-pour on larger candles.
    • Mix liquid, chip and dye blocks at around 175 deg. F.
    • Working/pouring temperature should be around 155 deg.
    • Ecosoya soy waxes require larger wicks than their paraffin counterparts do.
    • Recommended fragrance usage is 6% - 9%.

    This wax is awesome. I've used it for all my pillars (the largest I've tried is 3x9) and haven't had any problems. You need to use more fragrance oil or essential oil, but once you find how much you need, it has a nice scent throw. Cold seems better than hot though. Wicking was a bit tough, but I've found that ECO 1 or #1/0 Square Braid, from this site, works well for 2in diameter. LX24 or LX26 or #5 Square Braid work well in the 3in diameter. I love that it is flaked, and cheaper than paraffin or palm, plus it has some great selling points (organic, Kosher, animal cruelty free, etc ) Overall, an awesome wax!

    I love working with this wax. It makes wonderful tarts and votives. I have found, however, that it is not sufficient enough on its own for larger pillars (hence the 4 star rating opposed to 5). When making larger pillars I use 80% of this soy wax and 20% paraffin. Maybe it's because I've worked with paraffin for 6+ years and am now switching to soy that I notice the difference. I like the fact that you can easily buff out small imperfections (I sculpt these candles, so that's important to me). I love that this wax comes in flakes because you can easily measure exactly how much you need. The scent throw is nice, but it took some time for me to find the right wick combo. After a bit of trial and error all around I'm happy to report that this wax makes and overall wonderful candle.
