UV inhibitor is used to prevent the fading of colors due to ultraviolet light exposure. Add to wax at the rate of 1/2 teaspoon per pound of wax (0.3 %).
There are many variables that can contribute to the fading of candles. Fragrance oil can affect fading, as well as indirect sunlight. UV inhibitor will extend the fading process, but will not completely eliminate it. The only way to eliminate fading would be to leave fragrance oil out, and keep candles in a dark place. Suitable for candles only.
0.3% is equivalent to about 150 lbs. of wax in the 8 oz. size and 300 lbs. of wax in the 16 oz. size.
